Social Engineering

Of all the security concepts I think Social Engineering (SE) is the most interesting and the most important. When I entered the Infosec world SE caught my eye first because my formal education is in Psychology and I wanted to apply my knowledge to my new career field. My first SE engagement was a phishing and vishing simulation. When I called the client to tell them I had access to their network they said I was either a liar or…a Magician, and my handle became “The Magician”.
